BeforeAfter

Example

Before and after: our test veterinary clinic

Birch Avenue Animal Hospital doesn't exist. We made it up as a test business, with a deliberately outdated website, and built the new site from it the same way we would build yours.

The old website

  • Tiny text and a fixed-width layout on a phone
  • Appointments only through the front desk phone
  • Hours on a separate page

The new website

  • Easy to read on a phone, with the headline and introduction at first glance
  • Appointment request and call one tap away, always visible at the bottom
  • Opening hours right on the home page
  • The clinic's logo and colors carried over

What a veterinary clinic's website needs to do

Your clinic plans the day

With appointment requests, pet owners suggest a time, and your team confirms or declines. The day stays plannable, with room for surgery and emergencies.

Emergencies belong on the phone

On a phone, “Call now” always sits at the bottom of the screen. Online requests are meant for appointments that can be planned, like vaccinations or checkups.

Hours that are right

Hours with a lunch break, a fill-in vet during vacation or the clinic closed over the holidays: one sentence to the AI assistant, and the page is right again.

Plain language, no outcome promises

Veterinary advertising has rules too. The AI assistant is instructed not to write diagnoses, treatment recommendations, medication details or promises of outcomes. Responsibility for your text stays with you.

Online booking

Requests come in online. Your team keeps track.

Online booking comes with your website and costs no commission per appointment. You decide how pet owners book:

Book right away
Visitors pick an open time within your opening hours. The appointment is set at once.
Request an appointment
Visitors suggest a time, and you confirm or decline it with one click. The answer goes out by email automatically.
Appointment wish
As long as no opening hours are set, visitors name a preferred day and time of day. You set the exact time when you confirm.
No booking
Or just calls and the contact form. You can switch any time in your customer area.

Animated demo: in the week view of the customer area, a new appointment request appears for Thursday at 2 pm. The business confirms it, the appointment shows as confirmed, and the day before, the client automatically gets an email reminder.

  • Email reminders

Pet owners automatically get a reminder before the appointment, with the address, a map and a calendar entry: 24 hours ahead, 2 hours ahead or both, as you choose.

  • Cancel with a link

Anyone who can't make it cancels through the link in their confirmation or reminder. The time opens up again, and you get an email.

  • No request gets lost

If you like, you get the day's appointments and open requests by email every morning from 7 am. If a request goes unanswered for 24 hours, an email reminds you.

  • In your own calendar

Subscribe to your appointments in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook.

What Closelift takes care of

You take care of your customers. We take care of the website.

  • Rebuilt from your current website

We take over your text, services, prices, photos and hours and rewrite them for phones. Old addresses forward to the new pages.

  • Changes through the AI assistant

You write in one sentence what should change. The assistant makes the change and publishes it right away, or shows it to you first if you choose. Up to 20 change requests a day are included in the price.

  • Hosting, updates and backups

Your site runs on a worldwide network with SSL encryption and no ad trackers. We keep the technology up to date and back up your appointments and settings every day.

  • Your domain stays yours

We connect your domain to the new site without downtime. Your email addresses stay as they are.

  • Ready for Google and ChatGPT

Structured data on your services, address and hours, a sitemap for search engines, and an llms.txt file that sums up your business's facts for AI assistants.

  • Made for phones

Most visitors come on a phone. Your site is built to load fast there, and calling or booking is always one tap away.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What does a website for my veterinary clinic cost?

You pay from $139 a month, whether you work alone or with a team. Hosting, updates, online booking and your changes through the AI assistant are included, and you can cancel any month. The preview is free; your exact offer comes with it.

Can we review every appointment before it's set?

Yes. With appointment requests, pet owners suggest a time, your team confirms with one click or declines, and the answer goes out by email automatically. If you'd rather let them book open times directly, or not take appointments online at all, switch in your customer area.

Can pet owners tell us which animal it's about?

Yes, in the message field of the request: species, name and reason for the visit, for example. There is no separate field for the animal.

What about emergencies?

Emergencies belong on the phone. On a phone, “Call now” always sits at the bottom of the screen, and we carry over your emergency instructions from your current website. Online requests are meant for appointments that can be planned.

Does the AI assistant follow the rules for veterinary advertising?

It is instructed not to write diagnoses, treatment recommendations, medication details or promises of outcomes. That doesn't replace a legal review. If you want to see a change first, you choose that when you ask. You can undo the last published change with one click.

Will we be found on Google when someone searches for a vet nearby?

We lay the groundwork: your site describes your clinic to search engines as a veterinary practice, with services, address and hours as structured data, plus a sitemap and an llms.txt file for AI assistants. Nobody can honestly promise a particular ranking.
